Guide
Trust & deposits
Renting from a stranger only works if both sides feel protected. Here's exactly how CIRCLO handles identity, money, and evidence — no fine print, just how it actually works today.
Identity verification
Before renting or listing, you can verify your identity by uploading a photo of your CNIC and a selfie. An admin reviews every submission by hand — this isn't automated — so the people you're transacting with are real, verified individuals. Verified accounts carry a badge visible to the other party.
Refundable security deposit
Every rental has a deposit set by the owner, scaled to the item's value. It's the owner's protection — money to draw on if their item comes back damaged or not at all — not a CIRCLO charge. When you rent, you pay the rental fee plus the deposit together to CIRCLO — not directly to the owner. CIRCLO only holds the deposit in escrow and releases it back to you once the item is returned in good condition. CIRCLO's own revenue is the separate 20% commission on the rental fee.
Before/after photo evidence
At handover, both the renter and the owner upload a "before" photo of the item's condition. At return, both upload an "after" photo. Both sets are timestamped and kept on file — this is the record CIRCLO uses if either side raises a dispute, so neither party has to take the other's word for it.
Trust & Safety Fund
CIRCLO keeps a reserve fund set aside to cover cases where damage or loss exceeds a rental's deposit. If you report a problem, an admin reviews the evidence from both sides and decides how the deposit — and, if needed, the Trust Fund — is applied.
Reviews & ratings
After a rental completes, both sides can leave a rating and a short review. Reputation builds over time and shows on every profile and listing — a track record you can check before you book or accept.
